camping
For many people who are traveling with little luggage, camping chairs are basically pure luxury until they have sat down on one of these chairs for the first time. We sat by until 5 years ago Motorbike tours either on a small three-legged stool, on the ground or on one of the aluminum cases. After the first test ride at a motorcycle meeting, we were quickly convinced otherwise, even if we had to take a deep breath when looking at the price tag.
With a pack size of 35 x 10 x 12, you can easily fit the Helinox Chair One in our motorbike cases or even in a backpack, and at just under 960 grams (including the cover) the weight is kept within reasonable limits.

The assembly of the chair is very quick and you can't put it together incorrectly - despite the high number of rods for such a small chair. The rods are all connected to each other with a rubber cord and these can only be pushed into the slots provided. Putting the cover on is also easy, although it takes some strength or technique to position it on the 4 rod ends provided.

Carinthia D600
In use since xxxx
When buying a sleeping bag, the first question is whether it is synthetic fiber or down, and then you have to find the right size.
We opted for a down sleeping bag here because of the better heat output and the smaller pack size and lower weight and came across the D600 from Carinthia.
Specifications:
The D600 is an all-round down sleeping bag. According to the specifications, the comfort range goes down to -4.9 degrees and the comfort limit even goes down to -11.6 degrees, which means that the D600 is also useful for one or the other overnight stay in winter. With a weight (each including cover) of 1,000 g for size M and 1,100 g for size Large, the sleeping bag can also be easily carried in a backpack.
Purpose of use:
We mainly use the sleeping bag on our motorcycle tours across Europe. We've already used it for several nights in temperatures just above freezing and it kept us comfortably warm (without an additional inlay). However, for nights with temperatures above 20 degrees, we use the sleeping bag more as a blanket than as a mummy sleeping bag. At these temperatures, you can already tell that it is clearly getting too warm.
The D600 offers two sizes for people of different heights, which can also be zipped together despite the size difference.
Basically, you have to be much more careful with moisture with down sleeping bags, otherwise they quickly lose their insulating effect. So far, the nightly moisture in the tent or damp weather has not damaged our sleeping bags. One or the other drop of water rolls off the water-repellent upper material - but you shouldn't overdo it here.
Conclusion:
Despite the higher purchase price, after four years we are more than convinced of the sleeping bags and the quality is really good. It can be compressed to a small pack size using the compression bag provided, and the inner fabric doesn't feel like plastic at all, but like a soft blanket, so you can sleep comfortably in the D600 without an inlay. The fact that the different sleeping bag sizes can be zipped together is a real plus. Feathers are also very rarely and occasionally lost.
